영어를 가르친 지 3년이 되었습니다. 한국인, 그리고 일본인 학생들을 대상으로 수업을 했어요. 오랫동안 영어를 가르치면서 학생들을 가르치는 건 단순히 지식을 나누는 게 아니라 서로 배워간다는 걸 알게되었어요. 또, 학생들이 재미있고 쉽게 배울 수 있도록 선생님이 도와주어야한다고도 생각했어요. 여러분, 새로운 언어를 배운다면 실수하는건 당연해요. 실수하는 걸 두려워하지말고 같이 영어를 배워봐요. 실수를 고쳐나가다보면 유창하게 말할 수 있을거예요!

I have been teaching English for 3 years now and I have taught both Korean and Japanese students. In my years of experience, I’ve come to know that teaching is not just about imparting your knowledge to your students but learning from them as well. Teaching is a two way process and adapting to my student’s needs is my priority because I know that through this, learning would be a lot easier and more fun for the student. I always tell my students that they should not be afraid to make mistakes especially when learning a new language. It is through those mistakes, that they will be able to progress and eventually succeed.

안녕하세요, 저는 필리핀에서 살고 있는 튜터 아라예요. 고등학교를 졸업한 후에 대학교에서 간호학과를 전공했습니다. 이후에는 병원에서 간호사로 근무를 하였어요. 하지만 사람들과 이야기를 나누고 학생들을 가르치는 것을 좋아하여서 선생님으로 근무하기 시작했어요. 여가 시간에는 책을 읽으면서 경험을 쌓고는 해요. 저에게 독서는 여행이니 마찬가지거든요. 또, 자는 음악을 듣는 걸 정말 좋아해요.

Hello there! I am Arrabella from the Philippines and I am 30 years old. I was born and raised in the Philippines and I grew up in the culinary capital of the Philippines, which is Pampanga. After graduating in high school, I decided to take up Nursing and in 2009 I earned my Bachelor degree. I have worked as a nurse in a hospital but I have always come back to teaching because I love speaking and sharing my knowledge to other people and it has always been a rewarding experience for me.
Also, during my free time I enjoy reading books because I feel like I gain new experiences without having to go anywhere. It’s like traveling for free! I love music as well because you can listen to it no matter what you feel and there would always be a song that’s suited for one person.
