TUTORING

I have been an English Teacher in UK secondary schools since 2004, and since 2020 I have been teaching TEFL online. I have had excellent results and feedback with pupils from Kindergarten age to groups of advanced ability adults, and can readily adapt my style to suit my students and their needs. I am patient and helpful, and take pride in ensuring that my students leave my classes with some extra knowledge and understanding of the language they are using. I have an excellent knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, and a clear RP English accent.

I am very enthusiastic about languages and love to teach. I have worked in museums and with animals, and I'm a keen musician as well as a writer. I have lots of general knowledge and enjoy exploring new areas of culture and learning new things whenever possible. I live with my husband and daughter in Scotland. We have five cats, and several tanks of tropical fish, frogs and crabs. I have lots of hobbies - history, art, music, and gardening, for example - and I look forward to sharing conversation with you and helping you to improve your language skills!
